Runway
How it’s calculated
Burn is expenses minus revenue. Runway is cash divided by burn. If revenue covers expenses, the business is not burning cash at all.
Worked example
$18,000 in the bank with $4,200 of monthly revenue and $6,100 of monthly expenses burns $1,900 a month, which is about 9.5 months of runway.
